Next time you visit us please consider purchasing your copy of the book “WHISTLE-STOP POEMS” (2nd edition) by Harrington Williams, published by the Oscar Grady Public Library.
Called “The Poet of Saukville”, Harrington Williams lived a short but full life, from being a sailor in Southeast Asia, a sports writer for The Ozaukee Press, to a writer of poems that show the local color of bygone times in a very sensible and animated way.
Luckily, we have been able at the Oscar Grady Library to publish in-house a second edition of his Whistle-Stop Poems, to preserve and promote his work for new generations, making it available in book form at a very accessible price.
You can listen to some of this poems read by some of the Library staff by visiting our SoundCloud Page HERE.
Book $10 ONLY (All proceeds benefit the Oscar Grady Public Library programs)
