The April book selection is Horse: A Novel by Geraldine Brooks.

Based on the true story of the record-breaking thoroughbred Lexington, Horse is a novel of art and science, love and obsession, and our unfinished reckoning with racism. The story alternates between past and present day, weaving through the stories of the enslaved rider (1850, Kentucky), gallery owner (1954, New York City), and Smithsonian scientist (2019, Washington D.C.).
